Dr. Salter’s Daydream
Description:
Dr. Salter sits on a bench looking towards his daughter, Joyce, who leans against the embankment wall, whilst further along a cat sits on this wall.

The idea was to show Dr. Salter in old age remembering his young daughter when she was still alive. It was also important to celebrate someone who was so important to the local community. The sculpture is designed as incidents along a linear site.

In 2003 the sculpture was repatinated and re-located from the Cherry Garden Pier to a site in front of the Angel pub.
