Four circular bronze panels 1.2 m diameter, set in pavement at ground level.

The relief work depicts Nye at various stages in his life, around the rim are quotations from his speeches.

 1. Miner’s Agent 1918.

2. Married Jennie Lee 1934.

3. Minister of Health and Housing 1945.

 4. International Statesman.

Set in the pavement surrounding the Iron Clock in the centre of Tredegar, Wales


Commissioned By:
Tredegar Town Council through Artworks Wales, funded by the National Lottery

Aneurin and Jennie LeeProduction Method:
Diane modelled the central relief work in clay. This was cast into bronze by Castle Fine Art Foundry who also attached the rim with the text which was sand cast into bronze by Leander Architectural.

Nye Bevan - HealthThe work was sited by Castle Fine Art Foundry with assistance from the artist and Philip Bews.
